These are the typical finess activities we do in F3. It's up to the Q (leader of the workout) and the type of activities designated for the location.
This workout varies entirely based on the Q's design. It often includes a mix of running, bodyweight movements, circuit training, or lifting "coupons" (heavy, impromptu weights like cinder blocks). It is designed to push the group while keeping everyone together.
In F3, running isn’t a solitary, competitive race—it’s a collective movement. Because F3 is open to men of all fitness levels, the group naturally spreads out during a run. However, the organization's core principle dictates: "Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him."
When the faster runners (the "gazelles") reach a designated stopping point, they don't just stand around catching their breath while they wait. They immediately turn around and run back to the last man in the group, running alongside him to encourage him until everyone reaches the destination together. Picking up the 6 ensures that the slowest runner feels supported rather than feeling like a burden, while giving the faster runners extra mileage and a tougher workout
At its simplest, rucking is walking while carrying a weighted backpack. In the F3 context, it has evolved into a massively popular alternative to running and a cornerstone of the community's culture.
While many men come to F3 and immediately start running, rucking provides a lower-impact, strength-building alternative that is deeply tied to the military roots of the organization.
